I had already paid a deposit to another company that turned out to be completely unreliable, leaving me without any solution just days before my dog was due to travel overseas. I was also flying out myself, so I had no one to leave my dog with and the situation was extremely difficult. Hanrob stepped in at the last minute and handled everything professionally and efficiently. They made sure my dog travelled on time and arrived safely overseas, taking a huge weight off my shoulders. I genuinely feel very grateful for their support. Even though their quote was slightly higher than the other company, in reality they were fair, honest, and delivered exactly what they promised without any hidden costs or stress. Kirsten did this, calmly, efficiently, and with a smile in her voice as she talked me through how we could make things happen. I thoroughly recommend Hanrob Pet Transport. As we sorted, investigated, booked and then confirmed flights and sorted the paperwork to get our baby [puppy] home, the various areas to deal with meant that I did deal with a few employees…and I have to say they ALL were polite and SO helpful. Kirsten however, was the coordinating worker and I hope her managers and supervisors acknowledge her efforts, and are aware of the wonderful work ethic she exhibits when dealing with customers [especially when they are “old foggies”, who have VERY LIMITED technical skills - like me!] Thanks Hanrob - you’re certainly a great company to do business with….next stop….off to your 5 week Puppy School we go……woof….woof….woof!🤓😊🌈 🐾🐕🦺🐾🐕🐾🐩🐾🦮🌈🥹😊

Your pet travels in the cargo hold, located in the belly of the aircraft. It's pressurised, temperature-controlled, and dimly lit - conditions similar to the passenger cabin. The gentle hum of the aircraft means most pets spend the journey quietly dozing.
Journeys which require boarding will carry vaccination requirements and some states require deworming treatment. Your pet travel consultant will let you know.
We recommend not feeding your pet within 8 hours of their flight, as this can cause travel sickness or crate soiling. We make sure they have access to water leading up to and during the flight, and at every stopover if there's a connecting flight.
Many airlines and Hanrob strongly advise against sedating pets. Sedatives can affect your pet's breathing and cardiovascular function at altitude, cause disorientation, and increase the risk of injury. If your pet travels anxiously, ask us about calming alternatives when you book. If your vet has prescribed sedation, you must disclose this to us before travel. In most cases the airline will refuse to board your pet, so please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options. We cannot accept responsibility for any adverse effects resulting from sedation.
Yes, but it needs to meet airline compliance standards. If you're not sure whether your crate is compliant, email a photo to transport@hanrob.com.au and your pet travel consultant will advise.
If a flight is cancelled or delayed due to weather, operational issues, or other circumstances outside our control, our team will work with the airline to organise for your pet to be on the next available service, and keep you updated throughout.
Please note that additional accommodation, transport, or airline fees may apply depending on the situation.
Pet insurance is not included in transport fees. Pets travel at the owner's risk and we take every precaution to transport your pet safely and comfortably.
