Hanrob Pet Hotels Melbourne is a purpose-built pet hotel in Tullamarine, a short drive from Melbourne Airport. For more than 43 years, Hanrob has cared for dogs while their families travel, work away or just need a break. Every dog gets a clean, climate-controlled room, premium meals, daily playtime and a team who get to know them as an individual.
Getting Here
You'll find us at 444 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine, around 30 minutes from the Melbourne CBD, so it's easy to drop your dog off on the way to a flight. Coming from further out? Our pet taxi can collect your dog from home and bring them back at the end of their stay. We regularly welcome dogs from Essendon, Thomastown, Epping, Craigieburn, Sunbury, Footscray, Bundoora, and surrounds.

We have 2 french bulldogs who are 1 year olds and they are actually crazy they have too much energy, they're litter brothers and play fight for hours at a time, one is deaf with separation anxiety and the other gets over hyped super easily but the lovely people at Hanrob took amazing care of them! They sent me photos, gave one his medication and just seemed to treat them with the care and patience they needed. The staff that care for the dogs there seem to genuinely love their job and care for the dogs there. Our dogs stayed for one night while we got married and I was nervous to leave them but I didn't need to worry as they were well looked after. Thank you to the staff for keeping our dogs safe and cared for.

I can't recommend Marty enough. He took time and put in alot of effort to train my anxious border collie. Since my dog's 3 weeks stay at hanrob we can see behavioural improvements, he has gotten so much better at walks.

I honestly can’t thank the team enough for the gentle, compassionate care given to my darling senior dog, Loulou. On an extreme heat day (45 degrees!), my home air-conditioning gave up and I was completely at a loss about how to keep her safe and comfortable. Loulou is a senior girl and a trauma rescue, so she can be a bit tricky to manage at the best of times — and the team handled her with such patience, kindness and genuine care. The booking process was an absolute breeze, communication was clear and reassuring, and most importantly, I knew she was in safe hands all day. She was kept cool, calm and well looked after when I needed help the most. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and understanding shown to my girl, and I won’t hesitate to use Hanrob again. It’s such a relief knowing there’s a place that truly understands and respects senior dogs and their needs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

My two dogs had a wonderful stay at Hanrob Melbourne. They stayed in a private suite together for 14 days, one of the dogs is fussy and settled in well responding well to the carers. A great sign of the professionalism of the staff at Hanrob. Was great to receive photos and an email of them settled and enjoying their snuffle mat. Weather was wet during their time, nice to hear they had still gotten some valuable outside time. Loved the report card touch upon pick up too and both boys have been happy and healthy since returning home. Thank you for taking good care of my pups. Highly recommend care at Hanrob Melbourne, they will be back!

I could see Millie was happy when I picked her up. But the lack of daily update caused me anxiety when I was away. There’s also no number to call or email from overseas to check in on my puppy. I believe a daily update with a pic or 2 would make a big difference in customer satisfaction. The containers with cooked food that I left with the hotel weren’t washed at all and rotten scraps inside was gross. Rather disappointed with the overall owner experience so I don’t think I’ll use the hotel again.

Throw in a neurotic PAWmum who was on a cruise & had limited contact at times. The love & genuine care afforded my darling boy was absolutely ABOVE AND BEYOND. The communication & care & love shown Theodore whilst he settled in went beyond on every level. Thankyou does not suffice. What a wonderful team you all are, clearly animal lovers who all actually invest in the welfare of pet guests. Cannot speak highly enough of our experience. Mel & Ted the whippy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dog Boarding Melbourne FAQs
Our vaccination policy for pet boarding is as follows:
Vaccination Requirement: Your pet must be vaccinated, and the vaccination must be valid for the entire duration of your pet's stay.
- Puppies may board 10 days after their final puppy vaccines as long as they are C5 or equivalent.
- Kittens may board 10 days after their final kitten vaccines as long as they are F3 or equivalent.
- Dogs must have an up-to-date C5 (or equivalent) vaccination.
- Cats must have an up-to-date F3 vaccination.
10-Day Rule: If your pet's previous vaccination had lapsed by more than 14 days, the new vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before the check-in date.
Vaccination Documentation: You are required to provide proof of your pet’s current vaccination. If your pet is checking in within 10 days of their most recent vaccination, we also require the certificate from their immediate prior vaccination.
Every stay includes personalised care from our team, a climate-controlled room with toys, bedding and water, premium daily meals and daily playtime.
We're at 444 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine, close to Melbourne Airport. If you can't drop your dog off yourself, our pet taxi can collect them from home and bring them back after their stay.
We supply bedding, bowls and toys, so you don't need to pack much.
Yes. You'll get regular updates through our Customer Portal.
Daily playtime is included, and you can add extra group playtime when you book. Group play depends on your dog's temperament and they will be assessed during their stay.
For an extra $6/pet/day, we can administer medication to your pets. Please provide all medication in a marked vet bag and provide enough medication for the entire duration of their stay.
