COURSE DESCRIPTION

With more of us owning pets than ever before, the responsibility to learn pet first aid and improve outcomes in an emergency is on us.
Would you know what to do in the event that a medical emergency arises with one of your own pets or a pet in your care? It may sound unlikely, but as many as 20% of dog owners and 19% of cat owners report taking their pet to the vet for an emergency accident or illness each year and, in just the same way a thorough knowledge of first aid improves patient outcomes in humans, an understanding of pet first aid can be beneficial in handling pets, too.

Our Pet First Aid online course has been developed for pet owners like you who want to better understand the warning signs when it comes to possible emergencies in pets, and acquire a comprehensive knowledge of what steps to take in the event of an emergency accident or illness. This course is also valuable to those looking to enter the Companion Animal industry or who want to improve the level of service they can provide to animals in their care.
