Puppies have boundless energy and are an exciting addition to any home. However, parenting a puppy brings challenges – especially for those with little to no experience. Without a basic understanding of some common skills to teach your puppy, it may be disheartening to have a puppy who refuses to listen to you and a home that is fast becoming destroyed.
At our Puppy Pre-Schools, our trained and qualified puppy trainers deliver a course where you will learn to understand your puppy’s behaviours and teach them the tools and techniques needed to integrate into your family. The course is for puppies aged between 8 and 18 weeks which coincides with their critical development period. It is a great way for your puppy to socialise in a fun environment from a young age and give them much needed early guidance. The course is made up of five lessons over a five-week period and your puppy will graduate after the fifth lesson.
Classes are small in size and limited to a maximum of eight puppies. They are held in a restricted clean area not frequented by roaming dogs. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your class so that we may get you situated.

At puppy pre-school, our friendly and qualified puppy trainers deliver a course that will help your new little friend integrate smoothly into your family. It will be a learning experience for the both of you to share, as we assist you in understanding your puppy’s behaviours and teach you important tools and techniques for everyday use.
Don’t leave it too late
Our puppy classes are designed to be attended from the first eight to 18 weeks after your puppy is born, as this time is considered to be their critical development period. This is the time when your puppy is learning to explore away from their den and when they’re most open to new experiences and situations. It’s a great time to introduce puppies to situations they’ll face in the big wide world – like meeting and interacting with other people and dogs.
What to expect
Our puppy training courses are made up of five simple lessons over a five-week period and so your puppy will graduate after they complete their fifth lesson. Puppy classes are small in size and limited to a maximum of eight puppies for more effective training. Alternatively, you can book one of our private dog obedience classes, if you’d rather have one-on-one lessons. With either option, you can trust your puppy will be able to learn in a safe, clean area that is not frequented by roaming dogs.
Their first friends
Puppy pre-school is a great way for your puppy to socialise in a fun environment and develop positive socialisation skills from a young age. Puppy classes are an important first step in developing a family-friendly pet, who will go on to enjoy playing and interacting safely with other humans and dogs. During their puppy training, your pooch will learn how to communicate with other dogs and their owners in a safe setting and at a pace that feels comfortable to them. You will learn how to read canine body postures, what healthy play looks like and other important basic training skills.
