COURSE DESCRIPTION
A combination of theory and practical experience, this course is ideal for anyone looking to pursue or enhance their career as a dog trainer, pet welfare manager or other pet professional. Guided by our expert educators and mentors, you will gain the first-hand experience and knowledge required to work in the pet services industry and to confidently interact with companion animals.
WORK PLACEMENT
Considered the industry standard qualification for companion animal services, the latest training methods are used and our students gain real-world experience through a compulsory work placement of 120 hours. Hanrob Pet Hotels offers paid learning placements during peak periods. and you can work at a Hanrob Pet Hotel earning award wages as a trainee. As a result, our graduates have an extremely high employment success rate going on to work as part of our training team or gaining jobs within the industry.
ABOUT YOU
You need a strong interest in dog training but no prior experience is necessary. It is beneficial to have prior work experience in dog handling and general knowledge about dogs; however this is not a prerequisite for the course. Good interpersonal communication skills, sound literacy and numeracy abilities are needed. As this is a blended delivery course you must have access to a computer to meet the requirements of this course.

When you’re ready to enrol, click on the ‘Take this Course’ or ‘Enquire Now’ button and fill in your details, one of our dedicated education staff will contact you to discuss your course enrolment. Once the right course and study method have been selected you will be provided with a link for online enrolment into the next available intake in your state.
You will also be asked to complete and return a LLN (Language, Literacy and numeracy) test which is a course requirement to be made by an approved course provider or a Commonwealth, State or Territory government agency, Photo ID will also be required to complete the enrolment process. All Australian students require a valid USI which can be obtained from www.usi.gov.au if you do not already have one.
Once you have completed the online enrolment process, you will be provided with an invoice for payment at which time you can choose to pay upfront of via our payment plan provider EdStart offering interest free payment plans so you only pay for your course no hidden extras.
